When you replace the Blogger comments with HaloScan, the Blogger comments are no longer viewable (although I believe they're still "there"). I only lost a couple of comments, so this wasn't a problem for me. There might be a way to recover the Blogger comments from your archives, but I'm not sure how this would be done.
