Tempting You Some More…

Published by lolly at 6:30 pm under Tempting

I don’t think I have ever posted twice in one day… this is a new record.

Many thanks for your condolences–they are very kind and appreciated. Knitbloggers are wonderful people, no doubt about it.

Now onto the reason you are here… Tempting pics!

Who does not like a fancy-schmancy souped up shot? This effect is called posterizing… whatever that means.

The white satin ribbon was in my stash… and it actually fits perfectly. I really like the look of it. At first, I thought satin might be too flimsy, but this one worked well.Â

Another issue that worried me: bra straps. I have to wear a bra–and strapless ones really don’t cut it for me. With the ribbon, I was able to cinch the neck enough to hide the bra straps. This makes me very happy.Â

The other ribbons look good too… here is the lavender one. The two stripey ones (and the polka dot) are not photographed yet… maybe in the future.

Anyone know of a good bow-tying tutorial? It is pretty difficult with this grosgain ribbon…

I am almost done with the ribbon Dolcino scarf… Quincy is not too fond of it, as you can see.

Finishing touches on my Preservation paper, and this semester is history… hallelujah… but that can wait for tomorrow morn. This sicky needs some rest!

First off, that looks fabulous! I love it with the white ribbon! Second off, sympathy to you and your family and third, I hope you ain’t got what I just had. Nasty, nasty, nasty. If it’s that coughy, icky, phlegmy thing find a Chinese herbalist and get their help. Promise it will help. Cheers, sister!

Yay for different colored ribbons! It is smashing! I also have the bow-tying problem, if you do find a tutorial, link to it for the rest of us, k?

As for the bra thing - what about a bustier? Saucy.

Tempting is SO flattering on you. It came out wonderful!

  16. Kellyon 05 May 2005 at 6:11 am

You look so good in Tempting. The color & style are very flattering on you! I like the interchangeable ribbons, too! As for tying them, I’ve heard that the two-bunny-ears method works well for making pretty bows, though I’m not for sure on that.

Your Tempting looks beautiful on you doll! Damn you, now I’m going to have to make one, now that I know that I can wear it big boobies and all…

I lose my voice when I get sinus infections too, so I feel your pain. ‘Course when I start getting it back I sound sexy, like Madonna in Truth or Dare.

Hope to run into you this weekend! I plan to be there both days!

  33. Annaon 09 May 2005 at 9:48 am

Awesome Tempting! I’m making this right now, but I only have about three inches of the bottom ribbing done. I have a question, hope it’s not too personal. Did you have to do any modifications in the chest area or did you knit it according to the pattern? I’m so worried that it’s not going to fit me. I like the length of yours. Did you make it shorter or longer or according to pattern? Thanks!

  34. krison 10 May 2005 at 1:46 pm
