Our beach vacation was suprisingly sunny and mild, considering all of the rains and flooding we had at home, just about 100 miles away. We had a wonderful and relaxing time!  I took a number of photographs: sights and seascapes, trekking with my socks, and enjoying time with my honey… Now I need to unpack, do laundry, and read a few hundred emails! :)

More details to come, my friends!  it is good to be “home”, both in my house with my pets, and in the blogland!

Looks like a beautiful and fun trip to the beach. Welcome home!

I see that Kris is a pro when it comes to crabbing. My family used to head down to Galveston when I was a kid and rouse us at ungodly hours of the morning to make the first ferry. We’d bring out giant coolers and chicken necks and gizards and catch crabs. Of course, we were low-tech amateurs, so we just tied kite string around the chicken necks and threw them in the water. When the line went taught… slowly reeling them in was the key. But boy are those gulf crabs yummy!
