hey, wouldn’t you know that my latest project, the icarus shawl, is knitted with a “gray la gran” baby alpaca with a slightly purple hue? i love the hydrangea! when i was a kid, we called them “snowballs”. purple snowballs? hmm … maybe there wasn’t as much acid in the soil where i saw them as a kid :)

Lovely purple flower picks! Today I’ve already cast on a purple project for the month & am loving how it is knitting up so far. :)

I /was/ gonna snap a couple shots of my African Violets…yes, I have purple African Violets…I just couldn’t NOT get them…but my camera pooped out after the picture of my “blue” ish project :) . Purple…I have an iPod cozy in Lorna’s Layette, and um, yeah, another pair of socks :)

Absolutely gorgeous flowers! I’ll have to go outside and snap some pic’s myself!

    My plans are:

Knit my purple felted purse (picture forthcoming!)
FINISH my other purple purse (only sewing and seaming left. bah.)
Knit a Clapotis maybe with some purply Noro yarn?

I just finished a sweater for June in a blue-gray color. I also had lots of stash enhancement for August (neutrals and browns).

Another gorgeous mosaic! I love purple… Hopefully I’ll get some pictures of a few purple buildings in the area, as well as purple in my home. I’ll keep working on my purple Trekking socks. And also get going on my purplish Adamas shawl.

Gorgeous! I’m hoping to get many projects done this month. Purple is after all one of my favorite colors and one of the most abundant in my stash!!

First step would be to photo said stash and start knitting, ya think?!

I have cast on a pair of blue-and-purple socks to count for both last month (which I spent prematurely knitting neutrals) and start me out right for this month. Thanks for organizing this! What fun.

I just love purple! I changed my blog background to match the month! :) I have purple socks in the works…and lots of plans. What fun!

Yeah for purple! I already had two very significant purple productions in honor of July. I swear they all began on July 1st. This is definitely going to be a good month of purple and lavendar bliss.

I love blue, but Purple holds my heart in its hand. The hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers–they remind me of my Grandma :) .

Lovely purple petals. Purple is definitely my current favorite, so this month should rock!

    Hi Lolly!

First off, thanks for the congrats on the baby–I’m so glad to have her home!

Second–you and your carla were a bad influence on me! I probably won’t get a ton of knitting done on it in the next few weeks but I’ve started her in purple, so I guess it goes along with July! And how did I miss that cotton tape was being discontinued? At least I ordered enough for a couple of sweaters!

Isn’t July just wonderful? I am knitting lovely lace socks for my daughter in a beautiful purple RY Classic Cashsoft – I am just finishing the toe of the second sock! This month is finish UFO’s for me – hope your month is wonderful!!

Gorgeous photos! I can’t wait for purple projects to begin! I’m going to make a photo gallery of all the color projects I’ve completed during project spectrum soon. Thanks for your insight and inspiration. I’ve even jumped on the “summer of stash” bandwagon for the most part – not officially, but it feels good to use items I’ve already got on hand and not be in such an aquisition mode lately!

    Thanks Again,
    A

July will likely include, of all things
a BERET! Perhaps some knitted gift socks, who knows!

I love PURPLE!!! I am excited about July. I have to plan something for this month.

    Love you!

  20. Wandaon 03 Jul 2006 at 9:13 am

Lovely pics. Unfortunately me and PS have not worked out too well. I think I completed one something that was teh same color for the month. I don’t know if I have anything purple to start with for this month. Something to ponder, more than likely not though. Looking forward to seeing what you have.

I’m busy knitting blue socks… but I’m going to dye a purple colour theme today!

    Those flowers are beautiful.

  23. KnitPastison 03 Jul 2006 at 10:52 am

I am loving your Hydrangeas! Those are one of my favorite plants to grow except I am not seeing any flowers on any of mine yet. One of my PS is a yarn I dyed Purple Pansy.

I love all your photos from your vacation! What a fabulous time you two had!

Purple is going to be a fun month. I’m not sure how much purple I have to knit with .. though I’ll sure dig it out once I finish with these dishcloths!

  26. Jenniferon 03 Jul 2006 at 4:40 pm

Beautiful purples, looking forward to July!

  27. francoiseon 03 Jul 2006 at 5:30 pm

Strange enough, July Project Spectrum will be the one I’ll struggle with, not being very fond of purple… But I am sure I’ll manage to come with something… Lovely flowers!

  28. Kathyon 06 Jul 2006 at 11:55 am
