Hi Lolly!

I am so excited this is my first Socktoberfest!-and really my first time joining any sort of knit-a-long.

Unfortunately, I have a small issue. There’s a new baby joining my family this Winter (my first Godchild) and I’m on a deadline to produce as many baby-related items as I can before the baby shower on November 12.

So my question is, do booties count as socks?

I love that yarn from Yarn Pirate and it really does have similar colors from the block print. Very nice. I am excited for Socktoberfest. Even though the knee highs won’t be knee highs, they look great!

My goal is much more humble than yours! Merely to have socks on the needles at every point during the month, and that it won’t be the same pair for the entire month.

I feel the excitement, hoo yeah!! Of course, I’m going to continue to work on my knee socks and probably start a pair for the boy. I’m trying to think of more ways to be involved in the celebration aspect of the fest, we’ll see what I come up with.

You’re so observant, the colors in the yarn and the print do certainly match. Just goes to show that yarn dyers are artists in their own right.
