The good news came in the mail! Over two years of work, and now I have my Masters in Library and Information Science.
Now, I am trying to figure out if I wanna go back for more… (glutton for punishment?)
—-
…I guess this means I should pay my fine at the public library…

Congratulations!
Yay! Congrats!
Congratulations! I’m so happy for you!
CONGRATS!!!!! As a fellow grad student (Masters in Math Education) I understand all the hard work you have done to get to this point. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations!!!!! Of course, you should go back for more punishment. You love it!!! Of course, finding a job in your field would be nice as well….
But take some time off and knit for a day or two
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations!!! I’m always so glad to see fellow graduate students finishing up successfully, just to know that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! Loved your new noro sweater, btw.
Congratulations! You really earned your trip to California. I am so happy for you.
Congratulations! I don’t think anyone doubted the news would be posititve!
Congratulations!
May you go on to do great things.
YAY LOLLY!
Congrats! What an awesome accomplishment.
Wuh-hoooooo! That is so exciting!!! Congratulations!
Mazel Tov! I am so proud of you. All of your prioritizing and hard work has paid off.
Be sure to take a breather for a few days, ok?
oooo, congratulations!!! doesn’t it feel good. i hope you’re doing something special to celebrate!
WOW! What an accomplishment! I think that area of study is so interesting. I don’t know how you do all you do, and still get a Master’s Degree along the way! I finally accomplished my Bachelor’s in nursing at age 48, and I ran screaming from the building when they asked if I wanted to continue for my Master’s! LOL! Guess I’m too old and tired (or just lazy…).
Lolly, best wishes and hugs to you, and best of luck with whatever decision you make about continuing on!
Congratulations! May whichever future you choose bring you great joy!
Mazel tov, Lolly!
Congratulations, Lolly!!!!! I’m so proud of you!!!
Congrats! What kind of exam did you have to take? Up here in Canada we don’t have any of that kind of stuff. I got my degree in 2003. I should get my diploma framed
Whee! Good job!
Just bring that letter to the public library and I’m sure they’ll waive the fine as professional courtesy.
ROCK ON!!!
Congratulations!!!
Wow! That’s awesome!
Maybe I’m the only one, and I do read you pretty regularly, but I was all like “Who’s emily? I thought I was on Lolly’s blog!” I’m such a maroon.
Hooray and congratulaions!
Congrats Lolly! Take a vacation for a while from all that school and knit a bit!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woo-hoo!! Congratulations!!
Well done, you!!! Congratulations!!!!!
Yahoo!
Congratulations! You da bomb!
Congratulations!!! I’m persona non grata at my public library. In fact, I had G take the book I owed back because I didn’t want to face them. Oh the librarian shame….
Yay! Congratulations!
Congratulations!
Congratulations, Lolly!! I just love letters that start that way and there are two exclamation points right away. You just know it’s good news when there are exclamation points!
This is excellent news! A very hearty congrats to you!
YAY! Happy dance! Congratulations — you worked HARD for this, so I hope you celebrate just as fiercely!
Mazel tov!!
YEY! YEY! YEY! Congratulations!!!! I know the feeling even though it’s been over 7 years since I got my masters, it is such a relief and accomplishment!
Go party, girl!!
Congratulations! What a wonderful accomplishment–bask in it for a good long time!!
Congratulations! Isn’t it wonderful when all the hard work is fulfilled in something specific? I can’t wait until I’m there too…
congratulations.
Um, get a job and then have them pay your tuition for you if you want higher education!
Hooray!!! Congratulations, that’s an amazing achievment, especially at your age!
Congrats and welcome to the ranks of the officially information obsessed (otherwise known to muggles as librarians)!!! We knew you could do it!
Congratulations! Does this mean you have more time to knit
Hooray for you! Good job!!!
Yippeeee!!! Too funny - a librarian with a library fine. Bad girl!
Congratulations Lolly! All your hard work has finally paid off. I hope you celebrate in style!…
Woo-Hoo!
From one knitting librarian to another, congratulations!
Sarah (MLS, 2005 :-))
woo-hoo!!!
congratulations!
now go pay your fine!!!
Awesome!! Congrats
What? You mean that you don’t even get amnesty for those fines now?
I figured that’d be a perk!
Congratulations . . . . Emily Lolly!
Didn’t you know? They won’t let you be a librarian if you don’t have overdue fines. It’s in the manual…page 13 section 2.
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! Now you have more time to knit.
more congrats from me!! sorry i never called on Friday after T-day; I was having a . . . let’s say “emotionally draining” weekend.
Congratulations!
Congratulations! That’s a major accomplishment. Couldn’t happen to a nicer gal.
WooHoo! Go Lolly, Go Lolly, it’s your degree-day, go Lolly!!! (ok, I never said I could actually rap but you get the gist)
What a major accomplishment and THAT on top of being an amazing (and prolific) knitter AND staying on your weight loss regime. What a woman!
Go celebrate you!
Congratulations!
Librarians don’t pay fines, silly. They get a friend in the library to “erase” the fines for them. Not that anybody I know did that (no, it wasn’t Peter! but I do know a library tech who does it all the time. . . )
I told ya you’d pass. Congratulations. Welcome to the fold.
Congratulations!
Wow!! Congrats!!
WooHoo! Congratulations!!!
Wonderful news. Congratulations!!! When I finished my masters degree…I was pretty much done done and done! But yeah…I’m back doing it again.
Yippie! Doing a little happy dance for ya. Congrats!
Tanya
Congratulations, Lolly!
WOW!!!! How great for you, and what a great early holiday gift! Way to go:)
Congratulations! Yay you!
Congratulations girlfriend! That is awesome!
WooHoo!!! Yeah me too on the fines - I got an automated call the other day about overdue videos - on my 4-year old’s card. Bad Mommy!!!
A big Congrats! Time to celebrate!
Mazel Tov, Lolly! Welcome to the profession! I got my MLS in 1978 and I was a law librarian for three years before deciding to go to law school. Many, many years later (and three children) I let go of law and reclaimed my librarian-self. I now work at a community college and love it. So take my advice and go with the flow, life will open doors when you least expect it and you should always take advantage of what is on the other side!
Wooo hoo!! Congratulations!
Congratulations! I think a celebration is in order.
Congratulations! That’s some accomplishment.
Congratulations Lolly!
Congratulations!! Enjoy the rush of finishing–then decide if you want to go back for more
I debated on whether to get my Master’s in Library Science back in 1995, but I chose K-12 Reading Specialist instead. Congrats again–it’s a major accomplishment.
hooray for you!
Congrats! More?!?!? Are you freakin’ crazy?!?!?! Take that degree and run! ;o)
Congratulations from one knitting librarian to another! I finished my MSIS in 2003 and I still remember the tough comps stress! You WILL enjoy the next few weeks when you can knit and read what you’d like. Then you can settle down in the New Year to figure out what new direction you’d like to take.

Libraries are wonderful, wonderful places. I’m a public librarian and absolutely love it!
Congratulations! Wheee! Time to celebrate!
Congratulations!! That is a Birthday gift to remember.
If you decide to go to work, leave yourself the option of quitting and going back for more if you change your mind. No guilt, no second guessing.
Congratulations!!!!
Way to go!!! Good job!! Take some time and enjoy your achievement!
Many congrats to you!
yeah!!! so, are you going back for more?!
What wonderful news! Congrats!
Congrats! What great news!
Way to go! Congratulations!

Congrats! It must feel great to be done.

i might have to pick your brain about your whole experience, if you don’t mind…i had two close librarian friends who have been encouraging me for awhile to investigate library science, but they both passed away recently and now i’m librarian-friend free! will you be my librarian friend?
congrats again
YAY!!! Congrats!!! : )
Congratulations!! That’s amazing- you should be so proud of yourself. I know how you feel about continuing with school. I’m debating whether or not to get a library degree after I finish law school to become a law librarian. Wish I didn’t still have 2 years left to decide
Congrats again!!
Congratulations! I did the MLS too, so I know that you put in a lot of hard work, but it’s also a labor of love. Can’t wait to see where your career travels take you from here!!!

One more person congratulating you on a long and difficult task well “Mastered.”"
Congratulations on your masters. Im chuffed!!
That’s fabulous! Several years ago I debated applying for an MLIS, but ended up studying something else, so like Krista, I’m very excited for you and a wee bit jealous! I still dream of doing it one day…
Congratulations to you, my dear! You have worked so hard for this, and you should definitely celebrate.
Congratulations!!
Congratulations!
Congrats! We should go out for good food with bad service to celebrate sometime. When I was in library school I did a study on why librarians couldn’t return library books on time. Ask me about it sometime.
Congrats, Lolly! How exciting.
