Feeling Wellie

Published by lolly at 9:14 pm under Hokusai Ribs, Project Spectrum 2.0

New Wellies

I came home today to a package on the doorway - it was a package from my little sister, Sarah. These adorable wellies were inside! She claims that they are a belated birthday gift (my bday was last November!) After a squeal of excitement, they went right on my feet. Snow was just starting to fall, and there was a cold breeze (hence the blurry photos!) but what a perfect time for wellies: The meteorologists are predicting some snowfall and freezing rain tomorrow!

I’ll take the nasty weather if it means I can wear this fancy footwear!

**UPDATE:  Sarah got them from Target.com, and they have quite the selection!

Speaking of footwear…

Hokusai Sock

I finished my first Hokusai Rib sock!

  16. kristenon 12 Feb 2007 at 11:15 pm

I’m experiencing wellie envy. At least you didn’t find a pair of those clear ones. There was a time I was ready to threaten lives for a pair of those that fit.

And whoa, do those socks look vibrant. Gorgeous!

  17. Mary-Heatheron 12 Feb 2007 at 11:30 pm

  20. Rebeccaon 12 Feb 2007 at 11:37 pm

Well how cute are those wellies! My snow boots are getting quite a workout up here in the mountains as our snow melts. My muddy walks would certainly be more enjoyable if my feet were decked out like yours!

  21. jenon 12 Feb 2007 at 11:41 pm

Those boots are amazing …I’d love to know where they were bought.

  22. Mintyfreshon 12 Feb 2007 at 11:55 pm

Love the boots with your Fetchings! And congrats on the sock–it’s been a long time coming but they are clearly worth it. The second one never seems to take you as long, so I expect you’ll have a finished pair to tuck under those boots in no time flat. xo

  39. yarngineeron 13 Feb 2007 at 8:45 am

I wanted to belatedly thank you for the PB Granola Recipe. I made it yesterday, and my husband (even though it was right after dinner) couldn’t stop eating it. Then he took out a bowl and ate it as cereal with milk. I had to hide some of it from him so that we could share with his parents. Needless to say he loves it. :) And I haven’t even mixed it with chocolate yet. Once I do that, I think he would eat the whole pan. :)

  40. crissyon 13 Feb 2007 at 9:01 am

That sock is so mesmerizing. I love the colors. I’ve been slacking with PS2 so far because I’m trying to work from stash and I don’t have any blues. Your sock is making me really sad that I’m missing out on all the wonderful blues. I guess I now have a reason to buy more yarn ;)

  46. Jennaon 13 Feb 2007 at 10:24 am

Today is definitely a perfect day to wear those and they provide the perfect bit of bright color that we need when the weather’s nasty. You lucky girl! Great job on the sock, too, can’t wait to see the pair.
