Eviction Notice
To: Blue Sky Alpaca Bulky in “Red” Colorway
From: Landlady Lolly
You have been loafing in my shelves for nearly THREE YEARS. You think just sitting there looking pretty will pay the bills? You take up too much space with your bulkiness. I could fit five balls of 4-ply where you are easily. Don’t you forget how lucky you have been… It’s time for you to move on. Go make something of yourself!

Uptown Scarf
Yarn: 2 balls of Blue Sky Alpaca Bulky in red
Pattern inspired by Weekend Knitting
Needles: Size 35 (19mm) straight
Notes: Measures about 9 feet long!
All in all, I finished this scarf in about 45 minutes. Easy as pie. 90 yards of yarn total - 45 each skein! It is very cozy and warm, and will be the perfect thing to wrap around on a cold blustery day.
…I am not usually so sassy with my yarn… don’t call Yarn Protective Services on me! These particular skeins just needed an extra push

Hey, it’s just tough love! Cute scarf!
Love it.
that is so cute. how many balls did you use? I have some bulky wool that would be just right for that….
COOL! I love giant knitted stitches. It’s very very pretty.
Beautiful!
There is something so comforting about knitting a garter stitch scarf…sometimes I find it more enjoyable than complicated cables and lace.
Nice choice for that yarn Lolly!
Sometimes those simple, bulky scarves are the prettiest. They are often the only scarves I notice on other people. This one is beautiful. And isn’t it wonderful to get rid of some long-lingering yarn?
lovely! Looks like a great match of yarn + pattern, enjoy it (when it gets a bit cooler…)
I love the simplicity. It looks oh so chic.
Very cute scarf even if it is the malingering type
cute post lolly!
I love evictions! It’s always so empowering to bust out a 45 minute scarf.
(lovely color!)
I love the scarf. The color is fabulous, and who doesn’t love the instant gratification of a simple stitch on big needles?
Looks fantastic! I always love the way bulky yarn looks when it’s knit up in garter stitch - it looks so much more complicated than it is! And the color is just beautiful for your complexion.
That is one cozy scarf.
And oh, I hope there really isn’t a Yarn Protective Services. I am in big trouble if it exists.
Très chic!!
I like it quite a lot. I may have to copy this idea with some random bulkiness taking up space in my stash!
Very nice 45 minute project! Great color for fall! Love your blog!!
Sometimes “they” just need an extra push!
I think YPS would have been called if you had forced the bulky yarn into a lace shawl or socks …
Pretty scarf! Another well done project.
How fun are you! You have to love a quick-knit scarf like that!
I love that yarn! It is great for quick gifts. You could knit something up in one night while watching TV. Your scarf looks great.
Nice scarf! Hehe, great post!
I promise not to call YPS!!
Sometimes there’s nothing as pretty as garter stitch. Especially in a beautiful yarn. Glad you took that slacker yarn in hand and made something lovely out of it.
It’s gorgeous. I’m sure the yarn is so happy to move from stash shelf to more uptown digs
Very, very pretty! I love the color on you, Lolly.
It looks to warm and cuddly!
Some of my yarn is lazy too.
Love the quick scarf though. Yarn lazy no more!
Gorgeous scarf Lolly! That was one of the first patterns on my to-do list. My list was only about 3 items long at that stage- Well before the obsession began! Still one that i must make at some stage, it’s such a cute and classy knit.
Hmm! Lovely scarf. Great on you too!
Very chic Lolly and the color is so pretty on you! I bet this scarf feels so soft around the neck, not scratchy.
gotta love the instant gratification projects. i’m considering making a chunky wrap for work on size like, 55, needles.
You crack me up!! Love the shawl.
Lovely. I still love mine, and there aren’t many old projects I can say that about.
lolly, it’s gorgeous and it looks so good on you!! beautiful work!
