It’s good to be home, but I have to say that I started missing Canada the minute I stepped out of the airport in DC and felt the heat blast on my face (100 degrees?!) I was still wearing a pullover and scarf from the pre-dawn mist in Halifax!
Did you even know I was gone? I queued up a few posts before I left to throw you off track 
We have been road tripping around Nova Scotia for the last two weeks. I met some amazing people – holla to Megan, Ingrid, Annie, and Mimi! – and saw some amazing things. In true Kris/Lolly fashion, we snapped a few thousand photos… so, stay tuned once I get through them!
…and there was a little knitting, but not nearly as much as I anticipated…
We had a hard time getting home (two canceled flights! sitting on the tarmac for 6 hours and not being allowed to leave!) but, hey, it wasn’t an earthquake. Funny how that keeps things in perspective.
I have some great things to share, but now, I need to do laundry and get a nap ~

Welcome home! I can imagine that heat would have shocked you if you’ve still had it cool in Canada. I’d love a cool day here in TX, but looks like summer has arrived and I’ll be in doors for weeks now!

I had to laugh when I saw your post because we are in the midst of an insane heatwave here. Sadly, the handknits are getting no air-time.
Sorry that the Pens went down in the end. They fought a good fight though, and made the finals very exciting (right down to the last seconds!)
