: Fading Yellows :
Project Spectrum’s EAST theme is coming to a quick close – two months just whooshed right by in the blink of an eye. Yellow is one of the most “misunderstood” colors in the rainbow… and through four incarnations of Project Spectrums, I have to say, I have become quite fond of this color. It truly signifies happiness to me. The other themes for this group of PS – the material, the season, and the element – really added a lot of depth to the creative process. To those of you who are on this journey with me, I would love to hear more from you about your experiences with this round of Project Spectrum.
Sun beams and honey and warmth and beauty…
my photo collage for this month is just as flowery as my speech!
As always, there is so much beauty and lots of inspiration on both the Project Spectrum Flickr group, and the Project Spectrum Ravelry group.
~ and now the gold turns into red, and we look towards the SOUTH ~
I am planning more cooking and baking to go along with the *fire* theme, lots of photography, gardening, some writing, and some creative things possibly made with yarn and some needles…

I actually really like gold and yellow (and you’ve captured the color perfectly as always in your photo collage), but my mother always told me to stay away from it…clashes too much with my sallow skin
Gotta love mothers, right?
I love yellow. Your photo collage is just glowing!
Gorgeous collage.
I’m really gonna try to get something done for the South!
Beautiful photo collage. Yellow has definitely grown on me, too.
I still love reading your blog!Your photo collages are so beautiful and you are so creative!
Argh! I wish I weren’t so crazy-busy this year, because I love yellow and grey together. (Too bad the only yellow I can really wear is the mustard variety.) Great color choices—looks like I’ll just have to live vicariously through you until I can pick up my needles again!
I love your collage. Yellow is a colour that lots of people feel that they can’t wear. Its rarely in the fashion shops I think. I like yellow!
I used to really dislike yellow, but I have to admit that I’ve also come around to it more lately. Mustard shades have especially caught my eye lately, along with the grellow combination.
This mosaic is so happy! xoxo
Just wanted to thank you for the gorgeous photography and the cowl pattern. I’ve made 2 of the cowls so far and think they are just great….a terrific pattern for a newbie and great for gifts. I had a problem with the first one – once I bound the cowl off my needles….it was too tight to fit over my head but I learned a trick….use a purl stitch to bind off and there is more stretch. Problem solved!
Oh, and I really enjoy reading about your yoga journey also…..I’m restarting mine and trying to develop a daily practice. Unfortunately, although I like the idea of a daily practice – I’m fighting some major resistance to actually doing it. Hopefully I’ll overcome the resistance.
Thanks again.
I love gold and yellow too, and these colours just glow in your pictures! Gorgeous!
Wow! I love that yellow mosaic. Stunning!
