What a treat your blog is--beautiful, interesting pictures. Only sorry I just found it, but I'll get caught up eventually.

Congratulations on six years!

Personally, my blog reading has been much less frequent in the past few months, mainly because I haven't had the time to sit and read all of the blogs I enjoy. I'm not at my computer as much as I used to be, either. Ever since I got my "smart phone," I can easily check email at a glance on it, and I can update Plurk and Facebook there and get others' updates messaged directly to my phone. Having those abilities throughout the day without sitting at the computer has freed up so much time, because inevitably, if I sit at the computer for "a minute," it ends up being a half hour after all of the distractions I stumble upon! ;) Now that I think about it, my lack of time for blog-reading is probably directly related to being focused on more non-computer oriented things during the day. Hm.

Still, I try to catch up on my favorite blogs (like yours) every so often! It's an enjoyable treat! :)

Congratulations on 6 years! I've definitely started reading blogs less often, and posting to my own less often, which I think is due to a combination of flickr/twitter/ravelry and just a lack of time (thanks to how busy I've been with teaching and research). But I can't imagine ever quitting my blog, and I'm glad there are still some wonderful folks like you blogging, too.

Congratulations on 6 years in this strange yet wonderful world of blogging. I'm sort of sad to see so many that have jumped ship for Ravelry or Flickr or even Facebook and Twitter. To me, I am far more comfortable with this forum than with any other and so I continue to blog (though sporadically for sure) and read others. I feel that blogs have the right to evolve...and never understood why some seem so strict on content (e.g., knitting blogs should only be about knitting seems a bit crazy to me). I have many interests and read blogs on photography, cooking, other crafts/art, and of course knitting. To me, the most interesting are those that combine all these topics and simply write about life. Which is exactly why I love to read your space.

Happy anniversary! I am so happy that you're still blogging and find your posts about the other aspects of your life just as interesting as the knitting posts. I agree with you that knit blogging changed a lot after ravelry, and as much as I love ravelry, I have to say that I do miss the blogs that have gone quiet.

I LOVE the photos with this post. I think they say as much as the words about how your blog has gotten to where it is. I enjoy your blog and I'm glad you've gotten me back on the wagon. Thanks!!!
