Project Spectrum Postcard Swap!
Please be aware of the NEW RULES of the Postcard Swap, updated MAY 17th, 2006!
Each month, you will send your pal a postcard that used the colors of the month - you could choose your own theme and your own media - paper, fabric, yarn, organic materials, etc. This could be your Project Spectrum project for the month, or one of the many things you have planned.
This is NOT a secret swap, so the person you are sending your card to is also the person making a card for you. Each pair of participants mail the cards to each other.
Question: Does it have to be a postcard? can I make a regular folding card?
Of course! Be aware, however, that postage will cost more, and since this is an international swap and you may be paired with someone in another country, postage will be more. Remember, there are specifications to follow for your postcard size and space - thanks to Jennifer for this helpful diagram and specs. (These are US Postal Service standards. If you live in another country, please research the standards for your particular country.)
Question: How do we get going on this?
You will receive your pal's name and email address in an email from me (Lolly). It is your responsibility from there to contact your pal, and to get their snail mail address. Please contact your pal as soon as you can after getting their name. Please return your pal's email in a timely manner also.
Question: When do I mail my card out?
Please have your card mailed out by the third week of the month. This ensures that your pal will receive it within the color month, and will give you time to start on your next card project.
